Travis Mutyaba's debut at Zamalek delayed

Youngster Travis Mutyaba's first competitive game at Zamalek was delayed as he didn't get minutes as the team played El Ismaily in the Egyptian Premier League on Monday.

The Uganda Cranes, who made the matchday squad, watched on from the bench as the sides played out a barren stalemate at the Ismailia Stadium.

With Zamalek struggling to break the hosts' backline, Mutyaba could have fancied his chances to get a feel, but he stayed glued on the sidelines, as continues to acclamatize to their new experience.

Meanwhile, the 14-time Egyptian Premier League champions' struggles were evident once again, as they only managed two shots on target on the evening.

This season, Zamalek have only scored 14 goals in nine league matches.

They currently sit a lowly 13th on the 18-team log with 12 points.

Mutyaba will hope to earn his first minutes in the club's next match as they battle El Dakhleya at their home, the Cairo International Stadium.
