Victor Osimhen: Nigeria Super Eagles striker gives update on troubled Napoli future
Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen has shed light on the uncertainties surrounding his future at Italian club side, SSC Napoli.
Osimhen’s journey in Napoli has been a rollercoaster ride of mostly highs and lows. His arrival in the Serie A was marked with high expectations and the young striker quickly made an impact.

After leaving Ligue 1 side, LOSC Lille, for a club record fee, Osimhen, 24, has gone on to become a hero in Naples after he inspired the club to a first Italian title in 33 years.
However, a series of recent events and setbacks have tested his resolve and raised questions about his long-term prospects with his Italian champions.
In a recent interview, via ESPN, the 24-year-old shared his perspective on his time at the club which has come under scrutiny as a result of a turbulent period he has endured.
Per his future, the Nigerian noted that he is happy at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
"I am happy at Napoli," Osimhen said in the interview with Emiliano Viviano and former Italy forward Mario Balotelli per ESPN.
“People don't know how difficult it is to play in Serie A. From a tactical and physical point of view, it's one of the most difficult leagues to play in," he added.
Osimhen’s commitment to the club and his determination to overcome these obstacles can be seen in his words.
But the striker is yet to put pen on a deal with the club, despite months of talks, with his current contract set to expire in 2025.
Napoli, however, remains optimistic that Osimhen will finally sign the dotted lines and his words will only reassure the management and fans.
As the Nigerian superstar navigates the complex terrain of his Napoli future, he carries with him the support of Nigerians and the Napoli fans, who continue to worship him following his performance last season.
He joined Napoli three years ago and netted 31 goals, most (26) of them came in the Serie A, where he emerged as the top scorer.
