Will Osimhen leave Napoli this summer? A few months ago, it was almost a certainty, but now, not so much.

The 25-year-old Nigerian has been linked with a move away for the past 12 months, with several clubs credited with an interest.

There was a mega offer from Saudi Arabia last summer but Osimhen chose to remain at Napoli, seeking to establish himself among the best players in Europe.

He signed a contract extension with the club that included a reported release clause of around €120 million.

Last summer, clubs would have broken arms and legs to pay that fee for the Nigerian goal machine, but after a season blighted by injury and inconsistencies, the queue for Osimhen appears to have shortened.

Chelsea and PSG cooled their interest, while Arsenal remain strongly linked but very unlikely to pay that much, especially with a reported plan to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig next summer.

Osimhen's market value drops amid uncertain future

The effect of this uncertainty has seen Osimhen's value plummet in recent weeks.

The Napoli man is now valued at €100m, down from €120m, according to Transfermarkt.

Osimhen's destination remains a mystery, and a U-Turn to continue at Napoli under new boss Antonio Conte must not be ruled out.
