Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo escaped serious injury after he was accidentally tackled by a pitch invader who was looking to get a selfie with him during Portugal’s win over Bosnia.

Portugal beat Bosnia 5-0 in a 2024 European Championships qualifier in Zenica, with Ronaldo scoring a first-half brace.
The Portugal captain, playing in his 203rd international match, scored his 126th and 127th goals for the Portuguese Selecao das Quina and was also the victim of an overzealous pitch invader who caused him a slight injury.
The fan in question ran onto the pitch in Bosnia and made a beeline for Ronaldo, hoping to get a selfie with the Portugal captain.
Pitch invader knocks Ronaldo over
The pitch invader was then tackled as he reached Ronaldo, and the follow-through knocked the fan into the Portugal captain, causing him to recoil and grab his calf in pain.
Luckily, Ronaldo was not seriously hurt in the incident and continued playing until he was substituted in the 66th minute.
