Wasteful Villa sleep on job against Busoga United

Despite dominion in terms of possession and chances created, Uganda Premier League record winners SC Villa couldn't master victory over the struggling Busoga United.

The Jogoo surrendered a 1-0 first-half lead to draw one-all with Busoga United at the Kakindu Stadium on Thursday.

With the point, Villa ascended to second on the log with 40 points, four adrift of leaders Kitara FC, who have played two games more.

The latter dropped all points against NEC FC, who beat them 1-0 at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo in the other game on the day.

Meanwhile, Busoga United made a one-spot leap from the relegation zone as they currently sit 13th on the 16-team table with 18 points in 22 games.

In their next game, Villa will play reigning champions and fellow  challengers Vipers SC on April 9 at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

On the other hand, Busoga United will visit Maroons FC in Luzira on April 18.
