Coleman was seeking a ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the men’s 100m at the US Olympic trials but unfortunately missed out after a fourth-place finish.

Lyles took the top prize, equaling his personal best time of 9.83 as Kenny Bednarek and Fred Kerley finished second and third in respective times of 9.87 and 9.88.

In a post-race interview, Coleman was asked about Lyles and he was forced to walk out of the interview before the interviewer even finished speaking.
