We are one of the worst teams in Europe — Barcelona boss Xavi slams team after Valencia draw
Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez expressed frustration over his team's finishing, labeling them "one of the worst in Europe" at converting chances.
After recent losses to Antwerp in the Champions League and Girona in the league, Barcelona sought a turnaround at Mestalla. Despite taking the lead and creating numerous opportunities, they were held to a draw.
Xavi frustrated with Barcelona's troubles in front of goal
The comment reflects Xavi's concern about the team's effectiveness in front of goal, as their chance to defend LaLiga slips further away.
In the match against Valencia, Barcelona recorded 16 shots, with eight on target, surpassing their opponents who managed four shots on 11 attempts.
Over their last three games in all competitions, Barcelona attempted 58 shots, with 22 on target, resulting in five goals.
"This match pretty much summarises the season for us. We train to finish but it depends on the players’ confidence.
“We have to be one of the worst teams when it comes to finishing in Europe. I am very frustrated today,” Xavi said.
