‘We talk’ - Osimhen reveals discussion with Osayi amid rumour linking him to Galatasaray
Samuel Osayi has been on the news in both Turkey and Nigeria, with his contract with Fenerbahce expiring at the end of the season.
The Super Eagles star rejected a new contract extension from the Turkish giants and is free to sign for any club in the summer.
He has been linked with a move to several clubs, with the recent team said to be Osimhen’s Galatasaray.
What Osimhen said about Osayi’s transfer
Osimhen has acknowledged that he did not discuss a possible transfer to Galatasaray with Osayi-Samuel.
According to Habersarikirmizi.com, he was asked if he had discussed Galatasaray with his countryman Osayi Samuel, he said, "Osayi is my friend. We talk but not about this issue."
The Nigerian defender is still a vital member of the club, but he and Fenerbahçe have not been able to agree on a contract extension, which has led to rumours that he may leave.
Nevzat Dindar, an insider for Galatasaray, disclosed a few days ago that the Turkish Super Lig champions had no interest in signing the Super Eagles fullback.
Aside from Fenerbahce's fierce rivals Galatasaray, Osayi-Samuel has also been linked with potential transfers to English and French clubs.
Since arriving from Queens Park Rangers in January 2021, Osayi-Samuel has made 157 appearances for the Yellow Canaries, scoring seven goals and providing fourteen assists.
