'What else do you want?' — Coach slams critics of Super Eagles hopeful
Genk manager Thorsten Fink sang the praises of Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare after his winning goal sent them to the top of the table.
Genk’s star: Tolu Arokodare
De Smurfen have been flying this season thanks in part to their top scorer, Arokodare, whose 11 league goals are bettered only by Anderlecht’s Kasper Dolberg.
It was the 24-year-old Nigerian striker who came up top when the two top scorers in the league faced off last weekend, as the Nigerian scored first in the 2-0 victory over Anderlecht.
The goal ensured Genk went three clear of second-placed Club Brugge boosting their chances of deposing the Blauw-Zwart as Belgian champions.
What Fink said
Following the match, the Genk head coach sang the praises of Arokodare, stressing the significant improvements the Nigerian has made in his game.
“Tolu is a top striker. He is fast, strong in the air, left and right-footed, and he scores,” Fink said, per Het Nieuwsblad.
“What more could you want as a coach? Moreover, he now also carries out his defensive duties, which he didn’t do before.”
