Super Falcons players are expressing confusion over the Mission X initiative.
The initiative is the campaign branding of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the Super Falcons’ quest to win a historic 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title.

Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie was candid when asked about the campaign.
“I haven’t heard the word Mission X before, maybe I am not being carried along,” Nnadozie said.
Forward Rinsola Babajide, who spoke passionately about the team’s preparations and rivalry with Cameroon, also admitted to being in the dark.
“I don’t know what Mission X is about,” she remarked.
Despite the bold rollout of the Mission X campaign, which aims to rally national and continental support behind the team’s pursuit of its record-extending 10th WAFCON title, it appears that communication has not filtered through to some members of the squad — raising questions about internal awareness and cohesion.
The NFF had positioned Mission X as a motivational and unifying theme for both players and fans.
The campaign is expected to include promotional materials, community engagements, and digital storytelling to amplify support for the team.
As the Falcons gear up for WAFCON, fans hope the NFF bridges this gap and brings the team fully into the heart of the campaign.
