What Real Madrid’s Bellingham allegedly said to get sent off against Osasuna

Jude Bellingham’s red card against Osasuna has sparked controversy, with conflicting reports emerging about what the Real Madrid star actually said to referee Jose Munuera.

While the official claimed Bellingham directed an explicit insult at him, other sources suggest the England international merely questioned a refereeing decision.

Bellingham was shown a straight red card late in the first half of Real Madrid’s 1-1 draw with Osasuna, leaving both the player and his teammates stunned.

The referee's reasoning was later captured on Movistar, where he explained his decision to Luka Modric: "He said ‘fk you’ to me."

A shocked Modric immediately protested, insisting: "No! No! He didn’t say anything! He didn’t say anything."

The incident has since divided opinion, as Real Madrid continue to feel targeted by refereeing decisions in La Liga this season.

However, a different version of events has emerged. According to José Luis Sánchez of El Chiringuito TV, Bellingham denied swearing at Munuera and instead insisted he had only said, "If this is a foul, that is a penalty."

This is not the first time Bellingham has clashed with referees. Earlier this season, during a heated Madrid derby against Atlético, he was caught on microphone yelling, "F you, man, f off!"

Frustration with officiating is clearly boiling over for the 21-year-old, and his latest dismissal will only fuel debates about inconsistent refereeing standards in Spain.

Following the Red card, Bellingham could also face retrospective punishment for his alleged tirade against the referee similar to Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski last season.
