Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze has stressed the importance of winning the team's upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa to boost their chances of securing a place at the global tournament.
With an automatic qualification spot on the line, the two crucial matches are considered "must-win" fixtures. Speaking after completing his loan move to Fulham from AC Milan, the winger said,

“For now, I am just focusing on the game. We need the two games, Rwanda and South Africa.
"So, I think we have to win the two games to secure our World Cup ticket.”
Chukwueze will join the national team camp imminently in preparation for the crucial double-header.
The Super Eagles will first host Rwanda in a matchday seven fixture at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo this Saturday. They will then travel to Bloemfontein to face South Africa three days later in a pivotal showdown.
