Neymar looking to depart PSG this summer

Neymar’s time at PSG is likely to come to an end very soon after the Brazilian’s house was besieged by Les Parisiens Ultras, who hurled insults at him and urged him to leave the club in April.

The Brazilian forward, who is currently nursing an ankle injury, received similar treatment with his friend and fellow PSG outcast Lionel Messi and could be set to follow the Argentine’s example by leaving the club at the end of the current season.

English heavyweights Manchester United could be the ones to offer Neymar a safe haven after being linked with a blockbuster summer move for the Brazilian superstar.

Why PSG are keen on Neymar departure

Reports coming out of France from L’Equipe suggest that Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Neymar this summer after being approached by intermediaries on the players’ behalf.

According to L’Equipe, the French giants are looking to sell the 31-year-old forward as they start a new phase at the club focusing on French youth, with current France national team captain Kylian Mbappe at the centre of the project.

Despite struggling with injury during the 2022/23 campaign, Neymar has still managed 18 goals and 17 assists in only 29 games, proving to be a force to reckon with when fit.

He could prove a key asset for Manchester United if the deal goes through and the Brazilian has better luck with niggling injuries.
