Nigerian rap phenomenon Odumodublvck has publicly sent a message to Drake amid swirling buzz over the Canadian superstar headlining next year’s unprecedented FIFA World Cup halftime show.
“Drake is my friend. Let me send a message (chukles). Drake, The FIFA World Cup is 20 billion times bigger than you,” he declared during an appearance on the Culture League podcast.
Drake is the most streamed rapper every year from 2015 to 2025.
The Toronto-born star is also the only rapper to surpass 100 billion streams.
His blunt statement has landed squarely in the spotlight as the Industry Machine sought to distinguish facts from fiction.
Is Drake headlining the FIFA World Cup Halftime Show?
While there’s still no official confirmation surrounding Drake’s role in the 2026 World Cup halftime show, FIFA President Gianni Infantino has openly teased the possibility.
During Infantino's appearance on FOX, where he was asked about Drake potentially headlining the show — a move that could serve as the ultimate clapback following Kendrick Lamar's scathing diss track aimed at the Toronto superstar during last month's Super Bowl halftime show.
“So we can create a bit of a rivalry. It’s a good idea,” Infantino seemingly agreed, teasing the prospect of Drake gracing the MetLife Stadium stage.
“Actually, Drake was with us when we announced the host cities of the World Cup. I still have his number somewhere.”
While nothing is set in stone, Infantino’s remarks have set social media ablaze with speculation about whether the rap feud could play out on the world’s grandest sporting platform.
Against this backdrop, Odumodublvck insists the tournament’s global gravitas far exceeds any individual celebrity’s shine.
