World Cup Qualifiers: Seven foreign-based stars join Uganda Cranes camp
A group of seven internationally based players have joined the Uganda Cranes camp in Morocco ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualification games against Guinea and Somalia slated for November 17th and 21st, respectively.
Forwards Richard Basangwa, Rogers Mato, and Fahad Bayo have linked up with the team that touched base in Morocco earlier on Monday.
The others include Abdu Aziz Kayondo, Elvis Bwomono, Khalid Aucho and central defender Bevis Mugabi.

The seven make it 23 players currently in camp as 16 locally based stars left the country on Sunday.
Uganda Cranes intends to make a flying start to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, which will also mark the start of the Paul Put- Sam Ssimbwa era as head coach and assistant coach, respectively.
Meanwhile, Bayo trades with Czech Republic outfit MFK Vyskov, Basangwa at Wadi Degla in Egypt, while Rogers Mato plays for Turkish side Saniliurfaspor.
On the other hand, Kayondo plays for Israeli side Hapoel Tel Aviv, Mugabi for Scotland's Motherwell,
Four players are yet to join camp including Ismail Watenga, Salim Jamal Magoola, Ibrahim Juma and Bobosi Byaruhanga.
