World Cup winner Hugo Lloris hints at Tottenham exit
Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris has revealed that he is considering leaving the club, despite having a year left on his contract.
The former France international joined Spurs in the summer of 2012, and after 10 seasons at the club, he could be on his way out.
What Lloris said
The goalkeeper was speaking to Nice-Matin where he revealed that he has reached a point in his career where he wants something else.
He said he and Tottenham were at the end of an era, and although he acknowledges that he is still tied to a contract that runs out in 2024, he suggested he wants to leave at the end of the season.
“We have reached an important moment, whether it be for the club or me. It’s the end of an era. I have a desire for something else. I will carefully study what is possible,” he said.
“However, I haven’t forgotten that I have a year left on my contract at Tottenham, and in football, it’s always hard to predict what will happen.”
Galtier's inability to advance through the Champions League's round of 16 is claimed to have prompted the owner of PSG to make the choice of letting him leave at the end of the season.
