Super Eagles star Ola Aina recently commented on Arsenal's chances of winning the Premier League, stating a key component the Gunners needed to achieve that goal.
The 28-year-old is a seasoned Premier League footballer. He has faced the Gunners once already this season when his Nottingham Forest were walloped 3-0. Despite the dominant display, the former Torino man still thinks the North London side are lacking a key ingredient to become champions.
What Aina said
The Gunners have since banished their stint of irrelevance and have been title contenders in the past two campaigns as well as this one.
However, they fell short in those two completed seasons and finished behind Manchester City on both occasions. The Cityzens are trailing by some way this season, but Arsenal find themselves third on the log, behind leaders Liverpool and second-placed Chelsea.
Aina was on the Filthy Fellas podcast lately, where he lauded Arsenal star Bukayo Saka. Hence, he was asked about the Gunners' title chances.
Aina said that a team needed quality squad depth to become Premier League champions, suggesting that the Gunners are lacking in that department.

Meanwhile, Arsenal's star forward Bukayo Saka is currently injured and is expected to be out until well into the first quarter of 2025. Aina’s assessment will be truly put to the test based on how the Gunners navigate those games without their Star Boy.
