KIU Titans head coach Julius Lutwama has praised his side’s ending to their 92-79 victory over the KCCA Panthers on Sunday at the Lugogo Arena.

Joel Lukoji Banza scored 22 points to lead his side to a series sweep over the KCCA Panthers to progress to the National Basketball League playoffs semi-finals.

“We had an excellent fourth quarter, and I am excited that we finished well and we were able to finish the job in two games,” he told KIU media.

“Having five players in double figures in scoring is rare in this league, and I am happy that the team played together and we deserved the victory.”

Lutwama added: “ Joel is an excellent player, and he has helped us this season, and I expect him to contribute more as the season progresses.”

The KIU Titans march to the semi-finals as they aim to win the title for the first time in their history.

They will play the winner of the Dmark Power, and UCU Canons match up with that series heading to game three.
