In a rematch of last year's thrilling seven-game finals series, the UCU Lady Canons are set to face the JKL Lady Dolphins at the YMCA Court on Friday, marking their fourth consecutive postseason clash.

Both teams enter the semi-final showdown on the heels of impressive series sweeps, with the Lady Canons dispatching the KCCA Leopards and the Lady Dolphins convincingly defeating the A1 Challenge.

Speaking in anticipation of this momentous encounter, Lady Dolphins captain Flavia Oketcho emphasized her team's forward-looking approach, eschewing any desire for revenge against the Lady Canons.

"We are a team that focuses on the future, not dwelling on the past," Oketcho conveyed to Pulse Sports.

We have learned from our past mistakes, and now it's all about executing our game plan and striving for victory."

"I believe our squad is well-prepared, especially at this juncture of the season. Our goal is to perform to the best of our abilities to secure a spot in the finals," she added.

When questioned about the significance of winning individual games in shaping the series, Oketcho stressed that the ultimate goal is to secure three wins.

"While winning game one is crucial for gaining an advantage, we must remember it's a five-game series."

"What truly matters is which team attains three victories, not the order in which they are achieved," Oketcho added.

As the team readies itself for yet another battle against familiar foes in the UCU Lady Canons, there are no major injury concerns to report within the squad.
