Ndejje Angels guard, Jonathan Oketch has dismissed talks of relegation for his side as they face the barrel of elimination from the National Basketball League.
The Ndejje Angels are currently bottom of the table after with a 5-11 record having lost their last three fixtures.
The University side were recently stripped of two wins against Our Savior and City Oilers due to fielding ineligible players which has left them in a precarious position.
“There is a strong belief that we will get out of this situation as we firmly believe that we are one of the best teams in the league and therefore that relegation talk isn’t for us,” Oketch told Pulse Sports.
“We have to play more as a unit and rely less on individual skills with everyone playing their roles effectively to help us get as many wins as possible in order to finish as high as we can,” he added.
It is a busy week for the Angels as they face the KCCA Panthers, UPDF Tomahawks and Kampala Rockets in must win games that will play a big role in deciding their top flight status.
