Uganda Bombers captain Joshua Tukamuhebwa hit the Round of 16 in the World Olympics qualifiers in Italy following victory over Romanian Jitaru Eusibeu on Thursday.
Tukamuhebwa won after a 4-1 verdict, making it two victories in as many fights (63.5 kgs) at the ongoing qualifiers.

His initial victory came on Tuesday as he showcased absolute dominion to down Guatemalan Garcia Edgar, who needed the intervention of the referee.

Following the victory, Tukamuhebwa pushed through to the Round of 32 from the preliminary stage, to keep Uganda's dreams of having a boxer at the Paris Olympics alive.
In the Round of 16 slated for Saturday, Tukamuhebwa will battle Jordanian Obada Alkasbeh who beat Brazilian Yuri Falcao 5-0 on Thursday.
It should be recalled that four Ugandan boxers were sent to world qualifiers in Italy, but two - Yusuf Nkobeza and Shafic Mawanda have already exited.
