Badoni plays as a central defender and will help bolster their defence as they battle for a strong finish in the league and the Uganda Uganda Cup.

Having been the first team to sign a Japanese (Kazuto Kushida), Soltilo Bright Stars FC has now announced the signing of an Indian player, Aaryan Badoni.

Badoni has joined the Kavumba-based outfit ahead of the start of the second round of the campaign.

He becomes the first player to sign for Bright Stars in the January transfer window.

Badoni plays as a central defender and will help bolster their defence as they battle for a strong finish in the league and the Uganda Uganda Cup.

The 22-year-old has previously featured for SC Villa Youth team, Rising Star Academy, Excel Soccer Academy in Uganda as well as Dubai City FC and Gulf United in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Meanwhile, it should be remembered that in 2021, Bright Stars signed Japanese native and midfielder  Kushida and played for a season before his retirement in 2022

While he played just five times in the entirety of the 2022/2023 Uganda Premier League season, he had featured in each of the games this campaign before suffering a hamstring injury as Vipers beat Kitara FC 2-1 in December.

Bright Stars sit tenth on the UPL table with 18 points in 15 matches. They take on SC Villa on Thursday for their first match of the second round.
