AFC Leopards are facing transfer hurdles in their pursuit of highly-rated Posta Rangers defender and midfielder with the asking price out of their reach
AFC Leopards are having it hard to convince Posta Rangers to part with highly-rated defender Ken Owino and midfielder Brian Musa.
Leopards coach Tomas Trucha has made Owino a key target to solve his team’s problems in central defence and also wants to add bite in midfield with the acquisition of Musa but the club might be forced to look elsewhere.
Posta Rangers have placed a big price tag on their captain Owino and his assistant Musa, whom they are reluctant to lose on the cheap, midway through what has been an impressive season for them.

Ingwe whipped Ulinzi Stars 1-0 to move further from the relegation red line albeit by just one point.
“They are asking Ksh15 million for one of them and Ksh10 million for the other,” a source from Leopards told Pulse Sports.
“Who pays such amounts in our league? It is clear they do not want to sell. The club is now exploring other targets since these two are proving difficult to get.”
Trucha did not hide his desire for reinforcements following his team’s 1-0 win over Ulinzi Stars last weekend.

Currently, the Ingwe midfielder is joint-top in the top assists, making a crucial contribution to AFC Leopards' performance this season.
"We are targeting two central defenders, a number 8, and a striker. The question of signing these players rests with the management," he told the media after Sunday’s win.
It remains to be seen if both parties can reach an agreement or if the players force a move from the mailmen.
It is understandable why Posta Rangers would want to keep hold of their key players as they are currently third on the FKF Premier League table with 29 points, eight behind leaders Gor Mahia.
