Marcell Jacobs reacted to Fred Kerley's World Record claim in a hilarious way.

Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs has reacted to the latest claim of Fred Kerley breaking Usain Bolt's 100m World Record (WR) of 9.58s in his next race.

Kerley, who claimed the Olympic silver medal behind Jaacobs in Tokyo and followed it up by winning the 2022 world title, has a Personal Best (PB) of 9.76s. Since then, he has struggled to regain his form or stay consistent at major championships.

This season, the American track star is yet to break the sub-10s mark, having a Season's Best (SB) of 10.03s clocked at the Hurricane Invitational back in March.

Despite this, Kerley has a bold claim that he's breaking Bolt's WR in his next 100m race.

"World record next time I touch the 100m," wrote the two-time Diamond League champion on his X page.

While this post has gotten several reactions, especially from Jamaican fans, his stiffest rival Jacobs also commented by posting a laughing emoji under the Diamond League Instagram post regarding Kerley's statement.

With the duo having a history of throwing jabs at each other in the past few seasons, it's no surprise if it continues this year as they've always avoided racing each other before a major championship - a reason Kerley called the Italian star a 'duckling'.
