Popular female footballer Alisha Lehmann posted a picture of herself looking like a real-life Barbie on her social media page.

The Aston Villa star frequently shares glammed-up photos on the social media platform which has given her more popularity.

Among Women's World Cup players, the footballer with more than 13 million Instagram followers holds the top spot for Instagram influencers.

The Swiss model dazzled in a pink dress and heels in one of her most recent photos, which also featured her standing in a black Lamborghini.

Her looks in the photographs were simply classified as that of a Barbie by social media fans as she wowed them with stunning pics.

On her social media page on Instagram, the Sun reported that Alisha Lehmann’s fans were seen complimenting her looks in her recent snaps.

Fans went crazy in the comment area, as one noted, "Telling my kids this is the real Barbie."

Villa team-mate Chaney Boye-hookah added, "Come on Barbie, let’s go Barbie ah, ah, ah, yeah."

Another one posted: "Hey Barbie."

Alisha Lehmann is also known for her beauty and stunning pictures as she is considered one of the most beautiful female footballers in the world.

Alisha Lehmann’s popularity goes beyond social media

Aside from her social media popularity, Lehmann was crowned sports' most coveted star in a top 10 list revealed this year.

In recent research done by Spin Genie, female athletes were rated according to how often the term "hot" appeared after their names in Google searches.

According to The Sun, she was ranked above tennis players Camila Giorgi and Alica Schmidt, as the "world's prettiest athlete."

Lehmann also won the competition with more than 491,000 such searches for the Swiss attacker during the previous two years.

The 24-year-old will be hoping to help Switzerland as they take on the Philippines in their opening match of the Women's World Cup.
