As preparations for the final farewell gather momentum, URA FC have  provided insight into the arrangements.

"That is the date for his family for the burial and so far, more plans are ongoing," the URA spokesperson Ronnie Lusulire shared with on Pulse Sports Kenya.

"There are daily meetings at home in Kavumba, and we will be able to update as we get more plans.

"His family has received so much support up to now from friends as well as the football fraternity, and it is great to see that the coach touched so many lives."

Timbe's impact on the Kenyan football scene is notable, as he managed both former Premier League champions Tusker and Sofapaka.

His tenure with Tusker began in 2018, succeeding compatriot George Nsimbe. However, his time with the Ruaraka club was marked by challenges, leading to his departure after just 11 games.

During his tenure as head coach of Sofapaka, Timbe achieved a significant milestone by clinching the Football Kenya Federation Cup in 2014.

He later returned to his homeland and took the reins of Police FC.

His coaching journey extended beyond borders, as he secured a Premier League title in Uganda with SC Villa. Timbe also lent his expertise to Atraco in Rwanda and managed Tanzania's Yanga SC.

Regionally, Timbe's prowess was on full display as he clinched the CECAFA-Kagame Cup four times, cementing his reputation as a seasoned and accomplished coach.

Born in Manafa District, Uganda, Timbe's journey in football began as a player for Coffee FC.

Despite his dedication and commitment, he was never capped by the Uganda Cranes, despite being part of the setup between 1978 and 1983.

However, his transition from player to coach proved to be a transformative one, leaving an indelible mark on the sport he loved.
