The younger Okafor brother joins Juventus, looking to follow in AC Milan Noah's footsteps.

Teenage prospect Elijah Ifeanyichukwu Okafor has signed with Swiss club FC Lugano, the latest rising talent from his prestigious footballing family. 

Pulse Sports Nigeria can report that Elija is the younger brother of Austria and AC Milan striker Noah Okafor and has penned a long-term deal with Lugano, also known as Juventus.

Elijah Okafor to Lugano 

According to a statement on the club website, Ifeanyichukwu has put pen to paper to join the Juventus under-21 team.

“FC Lugano is pleased to announce the signing of Elijah Ifeanyichukwu Okafor, younger brother of the international Noah, who currently plays for AC Milan,” the club stated.

“FC welcomes Elijah Okafor with enthusiasm and wishes him the best possible satisfaction with the Juventus shirt,” the statement added. 

Elijah will look to follow in his brother's footsteps after coming through the youth ranks at FC Basel.

The 20-year-old right-back heads to Juventus after a short stint with Bienne, putting pen to paper on a contract until 2025. Okafor has already impressed in training and friendlies with his new club. 

FC Lugano stated that the club will aim to develop the raw potential of Okafor, who hails from a lineage of football stars including his brother Noah.

The Swiss club is excited by the opportunity to unearth another burgeoning talent from the esteemed Okafor football dynasty.

Ifeanyi’s brother, Noah, has scored four goals in two starts for Serie A giants, Milan, this season.
