Origi has struggled to make an impression since returning to Premier League football by way of Nottingham Forest last September.
Divock Origi’s future at financially troubled Nottingham Forest, the club he is currently on loan at from Italian giants AC Milan look bleak especially considering he has failed to make an appearance in any of the club’s last four games.
Origi returned to England for the first time since leaving Liverpool in 2022 in the hope that he would have gotten more gametime, as he also barely made an impression when he moved to AC Milan, and now new coach Nuno Espirito Santo seems to have jumped to the same conclusion on the Belgian international with Kenyan roots.
Santo addressed Origi’s future in a recent press conference, and his words have been relayed by Pianeta Milan.

“Unfortunately, Origi is injured at the moment, but all the players in the team must be aware that there is the winter window and be ready for anything. Nothing can be excluded because anything can happen. Right now, any player is important to us.
“Origi’s future, therefore, could be far from the Premier League. There are still a few days to go before the winter football market closes, and anything could happen.”
With Origi earning a yearly salary of €4million (Ksh 808 million), there will be some urgency to quickly send him out on loan once again to avoid paying his wage.
Reports suggest that there are some American sides interested in his services, which could be explored in the last two weeks of the window.
