The winds of change swept him away from Ingwe four years ago leading him towards new horizons.

Former AFC Leopards midfielder Baker Lukooya has embarked on a new chapter in his career by joining his native country's premier league club, Wakiso Giants.

The 27-year-old left-winger’s  move comes as a fresh start for Lukooya, who has been off the pitch for a while, seeking to reignite his passion for the game.

Lukooya had previously made a name for himself during his two-season tenure with AFC Leopards, where he showcased his prowess on the field.

The midfielder originally joined the 12-time FKF Premier League champions in 2017 and contributed significantly to their endeavours before parting ways in 2019.

After a fruitful period at AFC Leopards, Lukooya sought new challenges, leading him to Uganda Premier League side Express FC.

He later left the Red Eagles and once made a call on the next move for his career and was open to a return to Kenya with reports having emerged that Kakamega Homeboyz were set to offer him a deal.

Lukooya's transition to Wakiso Giants has come by way of a free transfer, signifying not only his worth in the sport but also the enthusiasm of the Wakiso Giants to have him on board.

During his stay at Leopards, he played a pivotal role in AFC Leopards' journey to the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup.

Lukooya's experience isn't limited to just a couple of clubs; he's left his mark on the field with Bright Stars, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), and Kiira Young Football Club as well.
