Gor Mahia defender Kennedy Onyango has been hospitalized, following a horrific injury during clash with KCB.

A section of Gor Mahia players have paid a courtesy visit to sidelined defender and teammate Kennedy Onyango.

The visit happened on Wednesday, April 9, led by coach Sinisa Mihic and captain Philemon Otieno.

Footage seen of the visit, shared via the club's social media, showcases Onyango, who is bed-ridden, receiving his teammates who came bearing goodies, including a bouquet of flowers.

Among the procession was Ghanaian midfielder Enock Morison, who has been a key figure for Gor Mahia in the middle of the park.

In a statement, the club confirmed the details of the visit, wishing the player a quick recovery.

"A section of the playing unit led by captain Philemon Otieno and technical staff visited Kennedy Onyango at the hospital; he got injured during our game against KCB on Monday in Machakos. Quick recovery Kennedy."

Onyango has been hospitalised since Monday following Gor Mahia’s clash with KCB.

Onyango suffered a complete fibula and tibia fracture in Gor Mahia's 1-0 win over KCB at the Machakos Stadium on Monday morning.

Onyango, who was brought into the side for the clash, had to be taken off on a stretcher when the defender collided with his keeper, Gad Mathews.
