The referees’ uniforms and other assorted items related to their work are part of a long list of sportswear items produced by Janzi.

Following the introduction of the Janzi branded apparel by the local football governing body FUFA, referees have been asked to ditch their old match-day attire.

For all the FUFA Competitions, it will henceforth be mandatory for the match officials to wear Janzi-branded attire, with FUFA monopolizing their sales.

Of the four mandatory kits, FUFA paid for one full complimentary set worth UHX. 280,000 to each of the 200 National Referees.

The package from FUFA comes along with a full black kit (top, shorts and stockings), whistle and its holder.

The match officials will then be tasked to part with UGX. 300,000 for full sets which contain pink, purple and green kits, red/Yellow cards, a holding case, a pencil, sweatbands and a pair of Toss coins.

‘FUFA has paid for one full complimentary set while the referees who are required to have all the four packs will meet the cost of the three sets which come for 300,000 UGX," said Head of Communication Ahmed Hussien via the FUFA website.

This comes days after FUFA introduced Zakayo, the official matchball for all FUFA Competitions.
