Nigeria's Alex Iwobi believes 1-0 results are okay for now as the Super Eagles just want to win and qualify for the next round at the AFCON 2023.

Super Eagles playmaker Alex Iwobi has hit back at Nigerian fans demanding more goals from the team at the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON 2023, in Cote d’Ivoire.

Pulse Sports can report that the Fulham star has reacted to calls by Nigerians to score more in the competition, insisting they are never satisfied.

The 26-year-old and his teammates have come under heavy criticism from fans after Nigeria managed just three goals in the group stage.

However, despite creating the most big chances (13) in the AFCON 2023, the three-time champions have been largely wasteful in Cote d’Ivoire.

Following the demands, the former Everton star has now come out to respond to his compatriots who would love to see more goals from the team.

Despite creating the most chances, the Super Eagles have only scored three goals.

Speaking in a video on the social media platform, TikTok, an unimpressed Iwobi went on the defensive as he stated that he would take any win before adding that the Eagles are working on scoring more.

“The amount of people that have been saying this sh**,” Iwobi began. “But I am just thinking, you lot are never satisfied.”

“I will take a win by a win by any means, at any cost, any tactic just to go through to the next round.”

Speaking further, the playmaker noted that the Jose Peseiro-led side is trying to fix things and make Nigerians proud.
