Thee 24-year-old Danish-born defender made his debut for Harambee Stars against Iran in March.

Daniel Anyembe's Viborg F.F. will take part in the UEFA Europa Conference League next season despite his side falling short to FC Midtjylland, losing 1-0 courtesy of a goal by Aral Simsir on Friday night.

Viborg finished the season third on the regular season league on 37 points after 22 games, thus qualifying for the Champioship round slots in spring, however,they could only win three of their ten games, meaning they finished fourth out of sixth.

Despite the defeat, their position will be enough to see them take part in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Europa Conference League playoffs next season.

Anyembe made his debut for Kenya in the 1-0 defeat to Iran. He represented Denmark at the under 21 level, earning six caps between 2019 and 2021.

The 24-year-old revealed excitement at the prospect of featuring for Harambee Stars after recently making his debut during the international friendly against Iran.

Anyembe, who is capable of playing both at right,left and centre back positions told FKF that he could not wait to don the national team colors again.

Anyembe is expected to link up with the rest of the national team in Mauritius alongside Collins Sichenje (Finland) and Kenneth Muguna (Tanzania).

The team also received a boost following the arrival of Anthony ‘Teddy’ Akumu, Richard Odada, Maurice ‘Marcelo’ Ouma and Amos Nondi.
