Arba Minch find themselves in relegation trouble only because of playing too many draws.

Kenyan internationals Bernard Ochieng and Eric Kapaito were in action for Ethiopia Premier League side Arba Minch Ketema on Thursday when their team secured an important win over Legetafo Legedadi.

Defender Ochieng clocked full minutes while Kapaito came in as a second-half substitute in the 2-1 win over the already relegated side.

Legetafo would have been wary of Ibrahim Hussien, who had been on top form in the season's second leg.

The attacker opened the scoring in the 22nd minute as he turned home Elias Eshenafi 's cross to hand Arba Minch a 1-0 lead.

Arba Minch was struggling to continue the visitors, and a good move involving Surafel Awor and Carlos Damtew in the 35th minute resulted in an equalizer for the Blues.

The score was 1-1 between Arba Minch and Legetafo Legedadi following a first half which was dominated by the visitors.

Arba Minch made two changes at the restart, notably bringing on Eric Kapaito for Ashenafi Elias and Belay Gezahegn for Butaqa Shamena.

Gabriel Ahmed had a chance to make it 2-1 to Legetafo three minutes after the restart, but his effort was easily saved by Arba Minch Ketema goalkeeper Yisehak Tegegn.

The Blues were made to rue that squandered chance as Ahmed Hussein completed a brace with a decent shot from inside the box to make it 2-1 to Arba Minch.

It was almost three for Arba Minch in four minutes later when a pin-point cross from Abebe Tilahun was met by Kapaito, but his ten-yard header shaved the wrong side of the post.

Legetafo threw players forward in the final 15 minutes of the encounter but could not find the equalizer as the match ended 2-1 in favor of Arba Minch Ketema.
