Defending champions Manchester City confirmed themselves as the winners of Group G thanks to a remarkable comeback win over Leipzig.

Manchester City shook off a shambolic first-half performance that put them two goals behind as they scored three second-half goals to win 3-2.

The Cityzens had sealed qualification last match week, but the fight to win the group was still on when they hosted the German side at the Etihad.

A Lois Openda brace gave the visitors a lead into halftime, but City came out roaring after the break coming from behind to win thanks to goals from Erling Haaland, Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez.

Avoiding defeat against Leipzig means Manchester City are now unbeaten in 17 Champions League games. According to Squawka, they could break the record for the longest UCL unbeaten run by an English team set by Manchester United between September 2007 and May 2009 (25 games).
