Murang'a Seal have seen their early season momentum fade away following two straight losses but coach Gabriel Njoroge sees no cause for alarm

Murang’a Seal head coach Gabriel Njoroge has told the club's fans not to panic after going three games without a win which has lost the newly-promoted side’s grip in the race for the title.

Seal drew against Gor Mahia and then lost games on the bounce against KCB and Kenya Police, which has left them sixth in the table on 21 points..

Njoroge has, however, insisted that he has nothing to panic about.

“Nothing to panic about, it is part of football,” Njoroge said. “You have to understand football, there is loss, win and draw,” he added.

“These are three things you have to accept in football.”

Police FC head coach Zdravko Logarusic praised the level of quality that Murang’a Seal have brought to the Premier League despite losing 2-0 to his charges last Sunday.

Police needed two goals from Clinton Kinanga to give them all three points, which now puts them just seven behind leaders Gor Mahia despite starting the league slowly.

This did not deter Logarusic from heaping praise on Murang’a Seal, saying that the side, which consists mainly of players who were plucked from obscurity to help the side earn promotion, has quality in abundance.

Njoroge responded to his comments, agreeing that Seal have the quality to upset any team in the top flight as they “do not fear handling" anything.

“What I would like to tell you about Murang’a Seal is that we are very new in this league and we are a very young team but we are able to handle these big teams," added Njoroge.

“It is only the officiating that let us down (against Kenya Police). That is the only thing I will say. We were good but we could have done it better if we were not awarded a penalty.”
