Mutombora was named the tournament's best goalkeeper, while Mandela was recognized as the best defender.

As Vipers celebrate their third Stanbic Uganda Cup after beating Police FC in the final on Saturday, two of their players are in delirium.

Goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora and defender Ashraf Mandela were recognized amongst the best performers of the competition and took home some individual awards.

Mutombora was named the tournament's best goalkeeper, while Mandela was recognized as the best defender.

Police FC's Missi Diego Semugera was named the tournament's best midfielder. The award was only mere consolation for Semugera, whose side dominated proceedings in the final but failed to find a breakthrough.

Soltilo Bright Stars' forward Emmanuel Loki was the tournament's top scorer with five goals.

Milton Karisa scored the lone goal in the first half with a header off a Bright Anukani corner kick. The Vipers skipper found himself in acres of space and unmarked in the box to head home.

Police forward Emmanuel Mugume had just failed to score after Herman Wasswa robbed Rogers Torach of possession and put him through on goal.

Angelo Lonyesi's charges had most of the possession on the day but failed to turn that into goals and paid the price.

The victory for Vipers handed them their first-ever League and Cup double.

Alex Isabirye's charges won the Startimes Uganda Premier League title last Saturday, and the victory in Lira was the icing on the cake as the season came to an end.
