Shabana FC's striker has acknowledged the players' responsibility for the poor performance and has promised redemption.

Shabana FC striker Nehemiah Onchiri has issued a heartfelt apology to the club's devoted supporters following their disappointing performance in the ongoing 2023/2024 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) season.

The Galmour Boys have struggled to find their footing in the league, leaving fans disheartened.

However, Onchiri, the team's forward, has now expressed his understanding of the pain that fans are enduring as the season unfolds.

"So sorry to our fans, we know what you are going through and we take responsibility," Onchiri declared.

The forward remains optimistic about Shabana's chances despite recent setbacks, including a devastating 3-1 defeat at the hands of table-leaders Posta Rangers.

"There are still a lot of games to play. We know our strengths, and we will bounce back. I think we need to stick together. We are going to fight until the end," he added.

Shabana are gearing up for a crucial showdown against KCB on Saturday, a league match that could mark the turning point in their season.

The Raila Odinga International Stadium, Homabay will host the encounter, and the players are determined to deliver a performance that will bring pride and joy back to their fans.

Tore Bobe are not just relying on their current roster to turn things around.

Reports suggest that the club is actively pursuing seasoned coach Sammy 'Pamzo' Omollo, a prominent figure in Kenyan football but the deal is yet to be made official.

Pamzo, a former Tusker, Posta Rangers, and Kenya Police head coach, boasts a wealth of experience and a proven track record in the sport.

Shabana's quest for a new coach was prompted by the departure of Sammy Okoth, who played a pivotal role in the team's return to the top-flight after 17 years in the cold.

Okoth's tenure was short-lived, as he was relieved of his duties after just nine matches.

In his stead, assistant coach Oscar Kambona has taken up the role on an interim basis, aiming to steady the ship during these challenging times.

As it stands, Shabana FC finds itself in 15th position in the league, with a total of 10 points earned from two victories out of 12 matches played this season.
