"I want to build characters of men who can go out there every day and fight and prove their worth," the Uganda Cranes legend explained.

Despite picking his first victory as URA FC head coach, David Obua insists his primary focus is not on grinding more wins but on how well his team performs every time they lay foot on the pitch.

The former Kaizer Chiefs player has continued to assert he is with the Tax Collectors for a much bigger project than quick-fix victories.

URA will take on NEC FC later on Wednesday under the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo floodlights, and Obua wants to see improved displays.

"I came here for a big project not just for victories, and so many people define success by victories, but I tell my players that success is defined by how hard you consistently work," Obua said ahead of the game.

"Because then, you're in control of the success. The results will come as long as the players go out there and give me 110%," he added.

"I want to build characters of men who can go out there every day and fight and prove their worth," the Uganda Cranes legend explained.

"There are so many players working hard here, and it's creating a platform for good competition, and every time they come here, they know they have to be consistent."

Today's game will mark the first time URA and NEC wrestle it out in a competitive match.

Meanwhile, as URA sit eighth with 13 points in nine matches, NEC, on the other, lie a decent fifth with 16 points.
