Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has penned down a four-year contract, extending his stay at the Theater of Dreams until 2027.

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has penned down a four-year contract, extending his stay at the Theater of Dreams until 2027.

The 27 year-old joined the Red Devils as a teenager in 2014 from Southampton and has gone on to rack 249 appearances in his nine-year stay.

"Nine years ago, I signed for this amazing club, and I'm thrilled to be extending my stay," the England international said to Manunited.com.

"I've grown immensely since coming to Manchester all those years ago, both as a person and as a player; I know what is needed to succeed at a club like this."

Shaw has been a critical pillar in head coach Erik Ten Hag's efforts to lead the club back to its glory days, as they have already picked a Carabao Cup in the current season.

The Cup glory took Shaw's title tally to four with United; two League Cups, one FA Cup and a Europa Cup under former manager Jose Mourinho.

Shaw is expected to kickstart life into his new contract on Wednesday as United welcome Brentford at Old Trafford, hoping to push their fight in the search for a top four finish in the English Premier League.

According to reports, United is also hoping to wrap the contract extensions for key figures Marcus Rashford and David De Gea before the end of the season.
