Football fans took to social media to criticise Thomas Tuchel's struggles at Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich have suffered a third consecutive defeat, leaving them eight points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga standings and with all to do in the Champions League second-leg clash against Lazio.

Bayern Munich’s woes under Tuchel

According to many fans, the struggles of the Bavarians this season can be blamed on the club's manager, Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel was signed mid-campaign last season to replace Julien Nagelsman in a bid to steady a rocky ship.

He, however, failed to provide the needed stability and improved form anticipated, as Bayern, who were on course for a treble before Nagelsmann was fired, had to settle for an 11th Bundesliga title thanks to a colossal fumble from Borussia Dortmund.

Those struggles have spilled over into this campaign. Bayern Munich were knocked out of the DFB Pokal by third-division side Saarbrucken in November and are now eight points behind Bayer Leverkusen, on course to miss out on the Bundesliga title for the first time in twelve seasons.

The latest setback came in a 3-2 defeat to Bochum, and fans have taken to social media to criticise Tuchel.

One fan said, “Bayern deserve every bad omen coming their way. Sacked a manager who was in contention in all four competitions last season for this Tucheliban, who luckily won the league. Now he's on track to go trophyless this season, despite Kane in their ranks. I can't believe I backed them to bounce back today.”

Another added, “Tuchel is not an elite manager. I’ve been telling you people for years now.”

A third said, “Tucheliban humiliation live. Bayern humiliation again... Probably they will sack him after this game. I pray we won't end up with this terrorist.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea are reportedly monitoring the situation of Harry Kane amid Bayern Munich's struggles.
