Osimhen to Chelsea in danger as Blues plan shock move for English striker

Chelsea are reportedly monitoring the situation of Harry Kane amid Bayern Munich's struggles.

Premier League big spenders Chelsea are in the market for an elite striker, and they are willing to splash the cash to get a top option to solve their goalscoring problems.

Napoli’s €130 million rated striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly the top target; the Blues are said to be the most likely next destination for the Nigerian striker.

The speculated move could, however, fail to materialise, as Chelsea are said to be attentive to Harry Kane’s situation at Bayern Munich and could shell out their transfer quota for a striker with proven Premier League talent.

Kane joined the Bavarians this summer in a whopping £82 million move. He has had an exceptional season personally, scoring 29 goals in 30 games this season; however, Bayer Munich have struggled.

Harry Kane unhappy at Bayern

As Pulse Sports reported, Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel confirmed that the England captain was unhappy, following the club's recent stint of poor results.

The Bundesliga side are currently on a run of three consecutive defeats, which began with a 3-0 defeat to league leaders Bayer Leverkusen.

They were beaten 1-0 by Lazio in the midweek Champions League first-leg knockout clash, and today, they suffered a 3-2 loss to Bochum, leaving them eight points behind Leverkusen in the race to defend their title.

They were beaten in the Super Cup earlier in the season and were unceremoniously knocked out of the DFB Pokal by third-division side Saarbrucken in November. Already out of contention for two of four possible trophies, with an eight-point deficit in the league and one leg out of the UCL, Harry Kane’s trophy ambitions, which prompted the move to Bavaria, will seemingly be delayed for at least a season.

Failure to lift a trophy this season, coupled with the reported unhappiness, could see the former Tottenham striker angle for a move back home, and Chelsea are said to be keeping tabs on developments, according to Sports Bible.
