Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel states that they need to connect better with Harry Kane on the pitch.

Bayern Munich's recent struggles have put a dampener on their season, with the team trailing behind Bayer Leverkusen and facing a tough challenge in the Champions League.

Despite Harry Kane's impressive start with 24 goals in 21 Bundesliga matches, his lack of goals in crucial recent games against Leverkusen and Lazio has sparked concern.

Thomas Tuchel has openly acknowledged Kane's frustration with the lack of on-pitch connection and service, emphasising the need for the team to step up and support their star striker better.

Striker's Struggle

Harry Kane, the prolific English striker, finds himself in a rare goal drought, failing to score in Bayern's last two pivotal matches. This comes as a surprise, given his exceptional goal-scoring record this season in the Bundesliga.

Tuchel's comments shed light on the disconnect Kane experiences during games, a stark contrast to his training performance, where his world-class ability shines through. Despite this, Kane continues to demonstrate leadership qualities and professionalism.

Bayern's Blueprint for a Turnaround

Tuchel and Manuel Neuer have both voiced the necessity for Bayern to improve their service to Kane, especially after their recent defeat in the Champions League against Lazio. The mood within the camp is understandably sombre, but Tuchel remains optimistic about the team's ability to bounce back.

He emphasises the importance of hard work on the training ground to revive the team's fortunes and is confident in their potential to overcome the challenges ahead.

What Thomas Tuchel Said

‘Harry takes care of himself. He doesn't need me,” Tuchel said, per Goal.

“He's not happy with the connection in games. Neither are we. I've rarely seen such a discrepancy between training and matches. The way he scores in training, the way he puts his chances away - it's incredible. It's world-class. But then we rarely find him in matches. He acts like a captain. Everything's okay with him."

With a crucial fixture against Bochum on the horizon, Bayern hopes to narrow the gap with the league leaders, Leverkusen. A previous encounter saw Bayern thrash Bochum 7-0, with Kane scoring a hat-trick, a performance they will be eager to replicate to steer their season back on course.
