Mukasa has been called up by England men’s under-17s head coach Greg Lincoln in the squad for their UEFA U17 EURO elite round qualifiers this week.

The Young Lions take on Hungary, Northern Ireland and France in their group knowing that a top two finish will secure a spot at May’s U17 EURO Finals in Cyprus.

Lincoln has named a 21-man squad for the games which will all be hosted at St. George’s Park, kicking off on Wednesday afternoon when England face Northern Ireland in their opening match.

After that, they take on Hungary before the final group game with France, which scheduled for Tuesday 26 March.

England reached the elite round qualifiers following their performances in the first round last November when they took three wins from three games in Croatia, including a 5-1 win over the host nation, a 5-0 victory over Kosovo and an 8-0 scoreline against Faroe Islands.

To reach the elite round qualifiers, Mukasa scored twice in three games, and will be key for England at this stage.

Meanwhile, at the moment, the 16-year-old is eligible to represent either England or Uganda at the senior level.
