Here is Israel Adesanya’s prediction for UFC 288 between Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo.

Nigerian and New Zealand professional mixed martial artist Israel Owolabi Adesanya has given his prediction for the upcoming Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 288 event.

The maincard of the event features UFC Bantamweight Championship bout between current champion Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo the former UFC Flyweight and Bantamweight Champion.

Adesanya on Cejudo vs Sterling

Adesanya made his prediction for UFC 288 on his official YouTube account freestyle bender.

Despite not believing Cejudo can defeat Sterling, veteran striker Adesanya has been impressed by Cejudo's development over the years.

Cejudo has most impressed with his ability to adapt the numerous elements required to be a full-fledged martial artist.

Wrestling was never going to be a problem for Cejudo. He just made sure that the dance was led by his hitting.

He said,  “I’ll you one thing. Henry’s different. Henry’s able to learn. It’s not really about his skillset as a wrestler. For me, he’s able to learn.

"When he first got into the UFC, I knew he was an Olympic champ. I was like, he’s a wrestler. Then I watched his striking and I watched the way he flowed, the way he moved. The ability to learn, he has that. He’s a good student. He’s legit.

“I think Aljamain — his striking recently over the last few fights has elevated to a point where it’s just like he’s able to pick people apart and snipe them almost.

"I think when ‘Aljo’ gets on your back — I can’t. Especially when you’re Henry’s size. He hasn’t fought in three years. A lot of variables. If I was ‘Aljo,’ use your jab and set everything up.”

Along with coaching and working with some of the most well-known names, Cejudo has developed into something of an analyst on his YouTube channel.

Unsurprisingly, the middleweight champion Adesanya, who freely admits that he doesn't particularly like for "Triple C," has been one of the boxers frequently in the spotlight.

Adesanya called Cejudo a bitch before proceeding to pick Sterling to win.
