The stage is set for the much-anticipated Pulse Influencers Awards 2023, and this year's lineup includes a thrilling category that celebrates the influence of sports journalists.

As the voting phase kicks off, the excitement among influencer fans and the broader Pulse audience is apparent.

Sports Influencer of the Year nominees have been unveiled, showcasing the prominent voices that have shaped the sports narrative across various platforms.

The nominees for this prestigious title include; Daily Monitor’s Allan Darren Kyeyune, Galaxy FM's Denis Mayega and Bukedde TV’s Kakooza Ramzan.

Also among the nominees are Hudson Mugweri, a basketball commentator, Radio One Lockerroom’s Echodu Moses and FatCats Podcast.

A notable contender, Kyeyune, secured this title in the previous year, and was voted the Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) writer of the month for August.

This recognition further speaks volumes about his influence in the sports journalism landscape.

The voting phase, set to run from September 4 to September 21, 2023, empowers the audience to cast their votes and make their voices heard.

This two-stage process adds an element of suspense, with real-time results available during the initial stage.

As the first phase concludes on September 15, the second stage will kick in, shrouding the final winners' names until the grand reveal at the Pulse Influencer Awards ceremony.

This year, the Pulse Influencer Awards have undergone a revamp, streamlining the award categories from 29 to 23.

This change enables a more focused recognition of outstanding influencers and their impact.

One of the fresh additions is the 'Next Gen Influencer of the Year,' spotlighting emerging creators who have made a distinctive mark in the digital realm.
