Borussia Dortmund won their first Der Klassiker in Munich in ten years, shocking Bayern Munich 2-0.

With seven games remaining, Bayern Munich, the host team of the Der Klassiker matchup against Bayer Leverkusen, who sit second in the German Bundesliga table, gave up a 13-point lead to their rival.

Visitors Dortmund stunned the Allianz Arena audience by taking the lead in the tenth minute of Saturday's Der Klassiker thanks to a counterattack goal by Karim Adeyemi.

Julian Ryerson of Dortmund scored a goal inside the area in the 83rd minute to make it 2-0.

Karim Adeyemi had the Nigeria flag stitched on his socks during Dortmund’s Der Klassiker win over Bayern.

Before choosing to represent Germany at international level, Adeyemi was eligible to play for the Super Eagles through his father 🇳🇬

Before deciding to play for the previous world winners, Adeyemi was qualified to play football for Nigeria, Germany, and Romania.

Karim Adeyemi, a football player for Borussia Dortmund and Germany, is a stronghold of his father's birthplace of Nigeria, as evidenced by his charitable work and football-related projects.
