Kenyan chef Bernice Kariuki has hung her oven gloves.

Kariuki, a private chef for the North Londoners, announced her exit at the end of the 2022/23 season via her social media channels.

"A final day flourish! Finished the season with a bang. Simply the best! Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal. The 2022/2023 campaign was the best special season ever," Kariuki wrote.

"I hang my gloves as a very proud chef. It has been an honour working for the best club in the world. I was truly humbled."

"More blessings in my next Job. The experience has been like a royal dream; truly humbled. Thank you, especially my country Kenya," she added.

Born and raised in Nairobi, Kariuki started working as a private chef at the club in 2021 following a recommendation by former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

She revealed that she met Aubameyang at a party, and he was impressed with her cooking skills.

"I met Auba and asked him whether there were any vacancies at Arsenal. To my surprise, he said I could be his chef, and I was like, "What?" and that's where I got my Job. He liked the pilau I did."
