Three-time World Champion Joshua Cheptegei continues to light Budapest, Hungary, not just with his track heroics but also with the entertainment.

Known for his always-jolly face, Cheptegei was on Wednesday recorded dancing on a street in Budapest, Hungary, where the 2023 World Championships are taking center stage.

In the company of other Ugandan athletes, including Oscar Chelimo, Stella Chesang and others, Cheptegei vibed to a song from his native Sabiny, titled Abatani by Fred Kwosir.

The Ugandan contingent appeared in a merrymaking mood and attracted a crowd of onlookers, many of whom wowed to witness the World Champion showcasing his other 'talents.'

That was moments before reports of an injury scare that threatened his participation in the preliminary round of the 5,000m race.

The scare could trouble his chances of lifting double gold at the ongoing Budapest Championships.

In the 2022 World Championships in Oregon, Cheptegei suffered a close to similar fate, as he suffered a knee injury that took a huge toll on his 5,000m performance, finishing ninth.

Meanwhile, Cheptegei has already scooped gold in the 10,000m race at the ongoing championships, his third in history.
