Again, Sha'Carri Richardson and her training partners at Star Athletics were the center of attention of track events as they cruised to the 100m semis on Day 1 at the 2025 USA Track and Field Championships.

The quartet of Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, Tee Tee Terry, Kayla White, and Richardson successfully qualified from their heats in convincing manners to make bold statements on a possible top 3 finish in the final.

Top of the list is world leader Jefferson-Wooden, who proved again why she's in the best shape of her career by effortlessly winning her heat race in 10.86s (-1.5). Jada Mowatt was second in 11.11s, just ahead of English Gardner in 11.12s, while Tamari Davis clocked 11.15s for fourth.

Tee Tee Terry also showed her astonishing form in heat 2, dropping a time of 10.89s (1.8). She defeated US 60m record holder Aleia Hobbs, who ran 10.94s, and Olympic 200m champion Gabby Thomas finished third in 11.02s.

And finally, White stormed to a new Personal Best (PB) of 10.89s ahead of Richardson, who ran a Season's Best (SB) of 11.07s.

Meanwhile, Jacious Sears also ran a fast race in a windy 10.85s (3.2) to win the final heat, as Jenna Prandini was second in 10.95s, while Anavia Battle finished third in 11.02s.

All the named women have qualified for the semifinals scheduled for Day 2, where they will strive to secure spots in the finals and possible podium placements to secure their spots on the US team to the World Championships in Tokyo.

Notably, Richardson win or lose in the semifinals has a bye to compete in Tokyo as the reigning world 100m champion.
